Alpha's Claim book review

A book review of the novel: Alpha's Claim: Urban Fantasy Romance Standalone Book 7 of 9 in the Kingdom of Wolves series written by Amelia Hutchins.

Theme: Werewolves, Shifters, Vampires, Demons, Strong Heroine, Alp    es, Pregnancy, Escape, Hiding,

Rating: 3 stars out of 5.

If you've read any of the other series of the author such as the The Fae Chronicles then it's pretty much the same except that instead of Fae you have shifters. Also, the author pretty much copied and pasted the bio's of all the characters even intermingled some names, and added a similiar plot line but with a twist: girl doesn't want guy hurt so she lies to save life & rejects his mate claim, years later he returns with full vengeance to make her pay, they of course argue & f*ck, in fact there is lots & lots of sex with the two main characters even though they supposedly can't stand each other. Then something happens and he thinks she's even more awful, convinces her pack too so everyone hates her, she gets really, really hurt, more sex, still hate, more sex, still hate, more sex, she runs away, he hunts her down after finding out she really isn't a bad person, makes her come back, with of course, one more bad thing and then bammmm, they all live happily ever after. No grovelling. No forgiveness need.
...ugh, past me the puke bucket.

Oh, should be we talk about the 'book stuffing' at the start of this book or is everyone else ok with clicking through 21 pages just to get to chapter 1. ????

Grab the book here in the USA or here in Australia.

Have you read it, am I right?

Make You Beg book review

A book review of the novel: Make You Beg: A Dark Bully Romance written by Shantel Tessier.

Theme: Alpha Males, High School, School,College, Academy, Wealth, Bully, Cars, Abduction, Violence, Rape, Murder, Torture, Sport, Football,

I don't know where to start with this book, it states that it is a Bully Romance but it's not. It states that it is not RH (reverse harem) instead it's MFM but it's more reverse harem in some areas. It states that it's told in multiple POV (point of views) which it is but it's done badly. I can't decide if the main hereoine is a strong heroine or a weak heroine. I couldn't wait for this book to be finished but stuck with it anyway just in case it was redeemable but it wasn't.

So, let's start with the main problem: that it's called a Bully Romance. It is not, it goes beyone bullying. It's about serious abuse, abusive relationships, torture, humiliation, abduction, murder and much more. It goes way beyond bully behavior and that is not ok as the bully genre is more totally different to that of abuse.
Oh but wait, the hero who was an abuser actually saves the day so that makes it ok & she forgives him. Wait, nope, that is not ok, he is still an abuser.
I can't really describe the difference of RH & MFM without giving the certain scenes in this book but trust me, it's not MFM.

Now let's talk about the multiple POV for each chapter. I'm normally ok with that, as it makes a story more 'punchy' and enthralling but not in this case.
Firstly, there were too many DIFFERENT POV's. It's ok to have 2 or maybe 3 per book but I kinda lost count. It also doesn't help that the writing style is confusing that it takes about 3 pages to figure out who is talking and yep, a couple of flip backs to the first page of that page of the chapter to try to recall who it was supposed to be.
Also, I'm going to throw out just SOME of the names of the characters below and I'll let you tell me how many are female names):::
Ryan, Scout, Law, Henley, Van, Rellik, Dax, Monroe, Grayson, Jamie,   oh and not forgetting the two very similar names: Derek & Datson - somewhat minor characters but their somewhat similar names confused me!

Rating: stars 3 out of 5 but that's only because it was a long book and the writer did really, really try needless to say that I've now deleted this from my Kindle to never be read again.

Are you going to read it, is this type of book your thing (it's totally ok with me if it is!). I just wasn't expecting abuse when I thought I was getting bully.

The Alpha's Oracle by Merry Ravenell

A book review of the novel:

This is book one in the series IronMoon and it's full of tough fighting Alpha males whom you hate at first read but then slowly begin to like as you understand more about them.

The book is based around the Seer/Oracle, Giana and how she was claimed against her will by the brutal alpha Gabel.

He's rough, tough, mean and brutal.
How will she cope? She's removed from her home, marked against her will, humilated and just wants to go back home.

I loved this book. It's a rough & tumble werewolves series, no lovey dovey stuff here!

Five out of Five stars for me!  I'm clicking straight over to buy the second book in the series

Have you read this book? Did you like it? Will you read it?
